Matron of Honor
I met Delaney when I came into the world! She’s my big sister and was my first best friend. We were inseparable growing up and did everything together. Delaney would even walk me around the neighborhood as I handed my boogers to our neighbors. When our mom was having me, Delaney told her I could find my own mommy but she quickly warmed up to me and let me be her best friend! She has always been so sweet and a little spicy and is the most loyal person you’ll ever meet. When we went to a dude ranch years ago, Delaney got bucked off a horse and I turned my horse around as fast as I could to go rescue my sister because she was the most important thing in my life for my whole life! 26 years later, she’s still my best friend and I can’t wait for her to marry her new best friend and soulmate.

Graham and I have a 5 year age difference, and when we were little, I didn't want him coming anywhere near my stuff. My trinkets, books, Gameboy - all of it was off limits to Graham as far as I was concerned. Fast forward 20 years, and I practically begged Graham to handle everything I owned. Moving multiple times in San Diego, I relied heavily on Graham to help me move in/out of apartments (including his own for a couple months). Graham rolled with it all - despite being consumed by med school with little free time of his own, he never pushed back or even hesitated to help me. When I apologized for taking over his and Gus' living room with all of my things, he shrugged and reminded me that one of the lessons he learned from our mom and dad was to help each other out when we could. He saw all of this as the natural thing he was supposed to do. This is Graham's attitude in a nutshell - when the rest of us are stressed, he sees the bigger picture, stays calm, and keeps going. Graham's grounded, quietly caring nature is one of things I love most about him. Congratulations Graham and Delaney - I'm so excited for all that's ahead for you both!

I’ve had the privilege of knowing our sweet lil Delaney her entire life! We’ve had so many amazing memories over the years but a couple in particular always stand out first in my mind: We were vacationing down by the beach and by then I was wearing glasses and Del thought I was so cool with my spectacles that she wore her sunglasses to match me. Little did she know she’d actually need real ones in a few years. Lol Another special memory was being there with her to get ready for her prom! It’s so special to have been with her for such an important night then and now for an even more important and special night in her life.
Best Man
Ever since I can remember, Graham has always been a shining example of someone I look up to. I can look back fondly to times playing video games and basketball as kids, the many years swimming together, visiting him during college, and learning about medicine from him in recent years. At any and every point in time, Graham has always helped guide and inspire me to set high goals, while still enjoying the process and finding humor along the way. From his sense of humor and kindness, to his many strengths and intelligence, Graham continues to inspire me by just being himself, and I feel lucky to be his brother.

I had the pleasure of meeting Delaney at Bonita High School when we were 15. We were there during the summer to try on cheer uniforms. I was a shy little baby and new to a big public school. Delaney’s mom, Shar Bar the Cookie Jar, approached me and told me just how darling and hilarious her daughter was and how she thought we would be the best of friends. I just HAD to meet her! Then… Delaney stole my dance moves for tryouts and I immediately thought of her as my enemy. She quickly won me over with her dazzling personality and we have been inseparable ever since.

There are too many great memories with Graham, so I'll talk about how we met. The first time I saw Graham was at a pre-season practice. I walked onto the deck and saw this giant, 6'3" Clark Kent of a man who I assumed was an upperclassman. I was immediately intimidated by his presence and didn't approach him for a while after that. When I finally did, I found out how chill and easy Graham was to get along with, and we've been hanging out ever since.

I met Delaney the very first night of college. Our dorm room hosted a hot chocolate social in which we found one another. We were both determined to go out and have the best first night college experience of our life. After an incredible night of 40z and gin, vinyl records, a mirror picture, and good people, we walked back to our dorm room arm in arm proclaiming an eternal friendship! That first year of college, we hung out every weekend then lived together for three years. We haven’t been bored since. We’ve cried about boys, we’ve laughed watching Friends, we’ve lost our voices singing ABBA, and have drank to absolutely everything. She is my squirrel.

The first time I ever met Graham. I was sitting with Matt in Coach Charlie's office, waiting for all the freshmen swimmers to gather for our first introduction to the CMS swim team. The next person to walk into the room was Graham. I looked over at Matt thinking, "There is no way I am expected to be on the same swim team as this dude." Graham was scary. He was bigger, stronger, and undoubtedly he was faster than I was. However, it didn't take long for me to realize that there was nothing about Graham that was scary. Graham is a gentle giant. He is remarkably humble, while also being one of the most disciplined and hardworking people I have ever met. When we were in our third year, I walked into his room on a Sunday evening, most likely with the intention of asking him to play me (i.e., beat my ass) in a game of chess, only to find him deeply focused on his Google calendar. He was literally planning out every hour of his upcoming week. At this point I think he was in the midst of studying for the MCAT exam, which of course he ended up putting in the dirt with his 98th percentile score or something equally impressive. It was at this moment that I realized Graham was a different breed. He is the type of person who will silently outwork everyone else while still making sure he has time to enjoy time with his friends and family. As I'm sure Delaney already knows, she is lucky to be marrying Dr. Graham, a man who is the epitome of dedication, kindness, and hard work.

I have so many great memories with Delaney because we’ve known each other since we were 11 years old. One of my first memories of being Delaney’s friend was when she taught me how to use a tampon for the first time at her end of the year pool party in 8th grade. Delaney drew a detailed diagram and provided the tampon and tons of support. I was happy to do this so I could join my friends in the pool. That’s when I knew Delaney was a good friend. Another one of my favorite memory was when we lived in Berkeley together for a summer in college and we watched the entire Game of Thrones series. It was fun to finally catch up with all the GoT references and spend time with my dear friend.

Second semester junior year, Graham and Jonah both stopped swimming and decided to get jacked. As a young diva, I had never really lifted before and never really had the interest. Young Graham offered to coach me up and join him and Jonah in their quest for more weight. As I committed to the lifestyle, I remember sitting with Graham at dinner asking him how to get more calories. He said “eat more”. I tried my hardest, but could never eat enough calories. Getting dinner with Graham again I asked for some tips and he said “you just got to stop talking so much and eat faster”. Just like that I got my deadlift to 315 and was able to stir up ooh’s and ah’s from my fellow denizens of the gym. Without his patience and grace, I would never have been able to accomplish such a feat. It really culminated when I get out of the shower one day and ran into Graham in our shared bathroom: “Ari, I got to be honest, you are looking pretty jacked”. Graham I love you dawg and Delaney is lucky to have someone as sick as you.

It’s so funny to reminisce about all the wonderful memories you have with a person, and it’s especially hard to choose one, when you’ve had so many special ones that impact you in some way. I would have to say one of my favorite memories with Delaney was actually quite recently. We were sitting in my living room, doing some much needed relaxing time which involved wine and When Harry Met Sally. But I think what was even more meaningful were the conversations we were having about family, relationships and just where we are now in our lives. Throughout these years in our friendship, I’ve always valued her opinion, perspective and her ability to be so attuned to conversation. Her genuinity and engagement is admirable and I am so lucky to share these precious moments with her.

The word I'd use to describe Graham is dependable. Like a lightly used Honda, you can always rely on Graham to take care of what matters. One morning, after a concert in san diego that i may or may not have made rather jolly for, I woke up feeling not the hottest. I needed to get back home to LA, but was not feeling up for the drive. Luckily for me, Graham was kind enough to drive my car the 2 hour commute north as i nursed my hangover. He dropped me off at my place, showing equal parts kindness and grace. I love you Graham & I'm happy to see you and Delaney share in your good nature!

It’s never a dull moment with delly belly, and so I have so many amazing memories with her! I first met Delaney our first night in college at Berkeley. I remember that she was gonna go out wearing the yoga pants and v neck tshirt she was already wearing. I was immediately impressed with how true to herself she was! One of my favorite memories was we went to go see our favorite comedian at the time together (which she hand painted this person’s face on a pillow), and we cried in our nosebleeds seats holding hands because we were so happy! Delaney and I had a lot in common so we went to a lot of concerts and comedy shows together, and I cherish all those moments. I realized then how much of a true friend she was because she was always so down for anything and so adventurous. It’s one of my favorite qualities about her!

One of my favorite aspects of Graham is his ability to work diligently toward a goal while also knowing how to celebrate the achievement of said goal. This is a rarer skill than it ought to be. In particular, I remember Graham's dedication in studying for his MCATs--the man put in hours a day, always keeping the larger goal in mind. When he took the exam, he had the confidence to know he performed well and the bandwidth to take a step back, relax, and enjoy the strange, somewhat chaotic party we threw for him that night.

The thing I appreciate the most about Graham is he is such a genuine guy. You can tell he cares about those around him and never needs to make anything about himself. He’s humble and puts others before himself. That quality will make him an amazing husband and father.
