This is definitely a strange year to do anything, let alone get married. Steve and I are ready to be married and with things so unknown we decided to move forward with our date in 2020. With that said, please know that we completely understand if you decide not to attend. We want to keep everyone healthy and will be doing everything in our power to make that happen. Our venue is also taking extra precaution during this time too. Here are some of their guidelines as of today :) : - Everyone will be temp checked before they enter the building, staff and guests. - Everyone will be required to wear a mask during the ceremony (we will have to be seated closer to each other, we will have more space during the reception.) - All employees will be masked and gloved the entire time. - We will have disposable masks for anyone that needs one. - As always, if you are feeling sick or have a fever, please stay home. Please do what you are comfortable with. Once again, we understand that everyone has a different situation at hand. Also, due to guidelines and restrictions related to Covid-19 we have to keep numbers to a minimum, we can only invite a small number of children (just family). We also thought you might like a day off! We hope you can still join us :) If you have a questions please free free to reach out to me: jdegen86@gmail.com
We met at Steve's best friend's wedding ... who also happens to be one of my best friends too! For years, my friends had been telling me about this guy named "Cata" but life got in the way and I never got the chance to meet him. Jobs and life (and one cute kid!) took us in opposite directions. A couple years later we both made our way back to the Des Monies area, and got settled in our jobs and lives again. Our mutual friends had since moved on to far away cities, new jobs, husbands, wives, etc. Until October of 2016... our besties Corey and Erica got married! Still having never met the infamous, Cata, there was someone I HAD to be introduced to, and his name was Steve Carter. We met and went on our way, but found ourselves running into each other every where we turned, all night long! The night was full of dancing, a couple broken light bulbs (Ooops), and some great conversation, like we had known each other for years! The rest is history! :) We have been together since that day and look forward to spending the rest of our lives together!
