Danielle and Alex met online in 2018. After some playful banter she agreed to go out on a date with him, mostly because she thought he looked like and was in love with Marshall Erickson from “How I Met Your Mother.” They had their first date at Bar Louie in Newport on the Levee. One of her closest and dearest friends (and now bridesmaid), Brittany, happened to see them sitting at the bar and came up to say hello. To this day Alex still thinks it was a ploy to get out of a bad date situation. Danielle maintains a firm stance that that was not the case. I’m sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle. In actuality, it was a great first date and by the end they both knew that they wanted to see each other again. They had no idea however, how important one another were going to be in each other’s lives. In 2019, their short lived, fun, and casual relationship took a drastic turn and their lives forever changed when they received the greatest gift they could have ever imagined, straight from heaven, their beautiful daughter Aubrey Grace. Life came at them fast, but through it all their bond and love only strengthened. As they navigated parenthood and the complexities of getting to know one another on a much deeper level, it was evident that they surely were quite the “match.” On March 12, 2021, during a weekend getaway in Asheville, NC, Alex proposed to Danielle. With all the right words, a beautiful diamond ring, and a bottle of Champagne Aubry to celebrate... she happily said "Yes!" They later discovered that 39 years ago, on the exact same day, Alex's dad had proposed to his mom. Danielle cannot wait to share the same last name as her family and they both are so incredibly excited to share the memory of this special day with their friends and family, whom they so dearly love. Thank you for being a part of our lives and our wedding day!
