middle school days Michael and Avery went to middle school together at Ann Arbor Christian school but never really had the same friend groups or knew much about each other. Years later, Avery started an internship at a church and end up leading a small group in the youth ministry program. I got paired with two other older women to help me and one of the ladies ends up being Michael's mom !! (such a small world). Michael was living in Fresno, California working for Fresno state at the time and I was still at school in Ann Arbor. Michael ends up moving back to Michigan and we end up dating. Crazy how the Lord works in unexpected ways!

holland state park Michigan summers are my favorite and I always love going up north to see the beach. Michael told me one day that he had booked a place for us to stay at in Holland, MI. Avery was super excited to go enjoy the beach and downtown with him. Michael and I took the day off work and we were on our way for a little mini getaway. We arrived in Holland, checked into our hotel and explored the town. Michael made reservations at a nice restaurant that evening. After dinner we decided to go to the beach to watch the sunset. We found a nice spot close by the water and started taking some cute pics. Then Michael asked me to stand towards the water so he could get a good pic, when I turned around he was down on one knee!!! I was so speechless ! Then Michael tells me that my friends are all waiting at a restaurant down the street for us to celebrate. We ended the night drinking champagne and celebrating with sweet friends. The whole day I felt like I was in a dream, it was the most magical, joy filled day ever.
