In December 2019, AJ and Geno went to "Psychic Night" at a coffee shop in Lynbrook NY on a dark, rainy night. They each met with a Tarot Reader in the corner of the dimly lit room. The cards were spread across the table in front of AJ. The Tarot Reader mused "Hmm... did you just meet someone? A new romantic relationship?" AJ replied that she did not. The tarot reader smirked, and said "Are you sure? Because if not, someone is about to come into your life very soon, and it's going to be a GOOD one." A couple weeks later, Geno, Jo and AJ went to a bar. They laughed and exchanged stories, and Jo suggested that they download a dating app on AJ's phone. They downloaded Hinge (also known as the dating app designed to be deleted). The three of them created AJ's profile, AJ swiped left a whole bunch of times, and then AJ went home and ignored the app entirely. UNTIL one night when AJ looked at her phone before plugging it into the charger and saw a notification. Hinge-1 new message. A message from someone named Dani, who commented on the "two truths and a lie" section of her profile, asking if she was allergic to apples, because she was also allergic to apples. AJ explained that a lot of fruit is just simply "itchy flavored". Was she allergic? Probably a little bit. Was it enough to stop eating Apples? No. And the older she got, the less itchy flavored they were anyway. AJ and Dani continued to talk every day, for the next few weeks. AJ eventually asked Dani if she would like to meet up and have coffee. On January 25th 2020, Dani and AJ met at "The Cup" coffee shop in Wantagh NY. They talked for hours, and at the end of the night, AJ asked if she could hug Dani. Dani immediately went to her friend Robby's house, and panicked for the next several hours because AJ's hug was "too dainty" which obviously means AJ HATED Dani and never wanted to see her again. Once AJ clarified that her hugs were apparently just naturally dainty, they went on a couple more dates--candle shopping, board game night, pretzels and beer cheese at a bar. On March 17th 2020, AJ and Dani went on their fifth date to upstate NY to hang out in a cozy mountain lodge near where Dani went to college. The next day, COVID-19 shelter in place messages started coming out. They traveled back to AJ's apartment. AJ said "the news is saying that everything is going to shut down for 2 weeks and then go back to a normal schedule. Do you want to stay with me for 2 weeks and have one long 2-week slumber party? Dani said yes. And then, Dani just never moved out. And now, she never plans on moving out, resulting in the longest slumber party ever, that has now moved from NY to PA. And the best part is, neither AJ or Dani are allergic to apples anymore.
