The first time we visited was on our first family trip together, right before the pandemic started in Spring of 2020. We instantly fell in love with the history of the city and were in awe of the culinary presence and overall creativity of the Zapotec people. It was like a secret part of Mexico that we just wanted to explore more of. We can’t wait for you to experience this wonderful city.
Please test prior to flying into Mexico (required by airline) our wedding planner can help coordinate any additional testing if you need to test again. The wedding venue is an outdoor space and ample enough for social distance. All staff at our wedding will be masked and there will be sanitation stations throughout. For departure please reach out to your hotel or host for nearest testing location or reach out to us and we'll help.
Unfortunately no, but the journey is not bad. Most connecting flights are from Texas or CDMX and a short flight into Oaxaca.
All flights to Oaxaca land at Oaxaca Xoxocotlan Airport. The airport code is OAX, and it can also be referred to as Oaxaca International Airport.
We recommend you order pesos in advance through your bank for a better exchange rate. Oaxaca is also a credit card friendly city.
Please look at our Travel Page. But in short, make sure you book in Oaxaca Centro and that you are no more than 15 minutes away from our wedding venue. There are tons of hotels in this area.
