For those of you who know Deanna...you know she notices the details...what date is it, what cycle is the moon in? The universe guides her. Deanna closed on the property that the farm sits on in 2015...on April 28. What else is of importance on that date? For those of you who know Adam, you know that date is the birthday of the first girl to have his heart. Adia was born on April 28! When Deanna and Lucky Orphans moved to Dover, taking on the impossible started from day one! 4 days after closing on the farm, Lucky Orphans would hold their first event on May 2! Deanna put out a request on social media asking to borrow tables from anyone who had them. One person answered...Mike Hearn. He showed up with a truck full of brand new folding tables for Deanna to use for the May 2 event. Shortly after, Adam brought Adia to an event on the farm. There was a peace pole ceremony held by AnnMarie Robustelli in the Fall of 2015. Adam and Adia came to the event and became frequent visitors of the horses. What happens next, is written in the stars....
Adam was spending more and more time on farm. After work, he and Andrew ran the "graveyard shift." I'm not sure if he needed a distraction from life, or just enjoyed my company, but he was on the farm everyday for one reason or another. Clean the paddocks, fix a board, mow the lawn...Adam was happy to be helpful and I was happy to see him pulling in the driveway everyday. It made me feel safe that there were eyes on the farm at all times. In the Summer of 2019, Adam and I found ourselves with a lot more free time. So, we renovated my bathroom, he took down trees, built a goat fence for our goats...we spent time getting to know each other on rides to Home Depot, Williams or anywhere I asked him to go with me. Keep reading to see what happened from just helping in 2019 to crazy in love 5 years later....
