For those who may not know, the start of our love story began like something out of an episode of Bachelor in Paradise. We met 3,000 miles away from our home towns at our best friends wedding in Costa Rica!! We have both been friends with the bride and groom for 15+ years, attended the same school district, shared many of the same friends, spent a lot of our 20s in Chicago's Gold Coast but NEVER met..! It was fate that finally brought us together for a week in paradise and from then on we were inseparable. A trip to celebrate a wedding turned into the future of our own and we cannot wait to celebrate with you all! A special shoutout to Jamie and Christian - little did you know, you were going to be the perfect match makers that weekend and we couldn't be more thankful!

While Dayna was visiting with her family in Colorado Springs, she had no idea that I had been coordinating with the rest of her family for months on the biggest surprise of her life (On April Fools)! When Dayna arrived to the Broadmoor Hotel for dinner, I had flown in unannounced with my brother Dan's help by sending plenty of Snapchats from my account of our dog Lincoln at home to throw her off. I hid behind a tree until she arrived and stepped onto the bridge as she expected they were just taking a few family pictures before dinner, but little did she know I was moments away from popping the big question. She was shocked to see me, said YES, and our celebrations began which were eventually extended two additional days thanks to a major airline glitch.
