Austin's version: We met in San Francisco on January 18th, 2014, serendipitously through our "cupid," Ray Roberts. At the time we didn't think much of it, but after a couple more times hanging out with mutual friends I asked Dayana out. We had our first official date on January 30th, an amazing kiss and after sending D home in a Lyft I walked home on a cloud, grinning from ear to ear. On Valentine's Day with some flowers and a card, I asked D to "go steady." We had our first getaway together in Napa over Presidents' Day weekend and the rest is history! Dayana's version: Well, it's a little more juicy than that. As I recall, it all began the night of 1.28.14, in a bar hanging out with friends. Austin complimented my "goddess hands" because my nails were metallic gold (boi please). He finally built the courage to ask for my phone number, and text me immediately after my departure (yeah, I wasn't quite interested yet). As the night went on, he text me he was leaving the bar and wanted to chat on the phone. Mind you, this was close to midnight. I have to admit, he was a very good conversationalist so I agreed, and we talked on the phone for about an hour. The next day he asked me on a coffee date, but I was too busy with school so he suggested meeting up that night or the next day. After some back and forth, we agreed to meet Thursday, 1.30.14 at Lion Bar (our first date). First date - all I can say is "WOW," we truly hit it off after hours of chatting. We ended the night with a romantic kiss. This first date wasn't enough for either of us, so we decided to hang out again Friday night, Saturday afternoon (hike), and Sunday - why not, right?! Valentine's Day was approaching and Mr. Austin asked me to be his date. I met him at his place, where he was waiting with flowers and a Valentine's card asking me to "go steady." Nervous but over the moon, I replied yes! We had a lovely dinner at Baker & Banker and from that day forward, we've made our story together!
