We met working together at Best Party Rentals. It was a classic, he was a delivery man and I worked in the office. It took six months from when I started working there for him to ask me to lunch. What started as a humble stop at a food truck for some tacos turned into seven-hours of conversation sitting on the tailgate of his Chevy pickup. We talked about anything and everything that came to mind, feeling totally in sync with each other. A little while later, we went on our official first date. Dinner at Fleming's (which we both agreed was sub-par) and a movie. My only request was for it to not be a scary movie, but since we waited to decide on which movie and showing time till we got to the theater, of course the scary movie was the only one available to see. He held my hand the whole time and let me hide behind his shoulder during the super scary parts. From then on, we were inseparable and found ourselves so fortunate and blessed to be together.

We took a trip to Lake Tahoe with a group of friends. We were having an amazing time at the crystal blue waters and amongst the beautiful pine trees. We had planned on taking the gondola ride up to the top of Heavenly Mountain. Upon arriving at the one and only sight-seeing spot before reaching the lodge, we meandered around the numerous tourists with our group capturing memories along the way. We suddenly see a viewing spot that was vacant, and he hurries over with me in hand, totally oblivious and just taking in our surroundings. With the lake in front of us and the mountain behind us, he turns to face me, tells me how much he loves me and loves our lives together; next thing I know he is on one knee. I immediately say "YES!" and we were engaged. And now we're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
