Due to backlog of pcr test results in SC, we recommend getting tested 5 days in advance of event and taking a rapid test (available at venue) especially if you are unable to get your results within 72 hrs. Airports and flights are breeding grounds for covid. CVS, Walgreens, Carbon Health (clinic), etc are options for testing location options. Please provide results prior to or at event and feel free to ask if you need assistance for best location.
We have a mask mandate for flights. We strongly suggest wearing n95 or kn95 masks, but at least a 3 layer mask at all times. We recommend wearing safety glasses/face shield (find at costco). Please bring hand sanitizer as well. Check grainger.com for masks without respiratory valves.
The PCR test (most accurate). For those of you traveling via plane, we suggest getting tested before flying out and after your arrival flight. At home PCR tests - make sure to mail out the same day test has been taken, check out Pixel.labcorp.com Please check out this review of the rapid tests available on the market right now. www.google.com/amp/s/www.technologyreview.com/2021/05/04/1024450/at-home-covid-test-review-accuracy-binaxnow-lucira-ellume/amp/ https://www.cnet.com/health/best-at-home-covid-19-tests/
Rapid PCR tests can be found through Carbon Health, travel clinics, CVS website (search by city), etc., and usually costs $140 +. This option should be free, but I would call and double check. Community Site CVS 10189 - Sutter St Lane 5, 1285a Sutter ST, San Francisco, CA 94109 This is a community testing site. Tests are performed at no cost, and insurance. Social Security number, and driver’s license/state ID are not needed. Results are within hours. Please schedule appt. 1.5-2 weeks in advance with CVS if you would like this option.
