We're Getting Married!

Nickee and David met on Ok Cupid. After thoroughly vetting each other's profiles, they began exchanging text messages and shortly thereafter, decided to meet in person. Their first date was definitely a memorable one! The connection and chemistry were palpable, however, the timing just wasn't ideal for either of them. That all changed later that same year on November 23, 2016, when Nickee received an unexpected text message from David- later followed by a gentlemanly kiss and an impromptu invite to Thanksgiving Dinner. They have been together ever since.

Nickee pulled the short straw and was scheduled to work Christmas Day at the hospital, so the family planned a Christmas Eve Zoom. When David told her the night before that he had spoken with her mother, she became suspicious but David quickly covered his tracks and claimed Sandy just wanted to test the connection. Ironically, during the Family Zoom, the connection was terrible! So when Nicole's Mother gave her closing sentiments, the concentration to hear what was being said was so focused that Nicole hardly noticed when she said that "David wanted to propose a toast". By the time the words sank in, Nicole had turned back to look at David, who was already on his way down to one knee. The rest is history, and if you know Nickee at all, then you know there were tears, lots of tears!
