Question

I've never been to Mexico City before. What is it like?

Answer

Mexico City has a population of 9 million people and is the largest city in North America. Our block of hotel rooms will be in the city's Polanco neighborhood, which is comparable to the Upper East Side of New York City - home to many of the city's boutique luxury stores, art galleries, Michelin restaurants and the city's largest public park and zoo. Mexico City sits at more than 7,000 feet above sea level, so it gets cool at night year-round and will get warm during the summer months, but generally with very low humidity.

Question

Which hotel should we choose?

Answer

We recommend staying at the InterContinental Presidente Hotel in Polanco. Please see the "Hotel" tab of this website and you can use our discount code!

Question

To get around town, should I use taxis or Ubers?

Answer

Both taxis and Ubers are very safe in Mexico City, but we recommend taking Ubers because they are considerably cheaper.

Question

Do I need a passport to get to Mexico?

Answer

Yes, you will need a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond your entry date.

Question

Is Mexico City safe?

Answer

Yes! Combined, we have been to Mexico City more than a dozen times and have personally never experienced a problem with crime. Additionally, we have found that local residents in Mexico City are warm and welcoming, and happy to interact with and do business with tourists. Especially if you have never been there before, we do encourage our guests to maintain some basic awareness of their surroundings and in large public areas to be mindful of pickpocketing. Our party's hotel will be in the Polanco neighborhood, which is very safe. Additionally, our planned group activities are also in very safe parts of the city.

Question

Can I drink the water in Mexico City?

Answer

Please try to only drink and brush your teeth with bottled water.

Question

Can I bring my children to your wedding?

Answer

While we love the children in our life, our wedding is an adults only event.
