This is a beautiful walk along the Rhode Island coast line in which you can take in the fresh ocean breeze and gawk over the luxurious and gilded Newport Mansions, including "The Breakers", the famous mansion owned by the Vanderbilts.
For any tennis fans, the Tennis Hall of Fame is a must see! Not only are the grounds beautiful, but you'll get to see the social club for Newport's turn of the century summer elite, plus the 264 inductees, including Andy Roddick and Billie Jean King.
Thames Street is situated in downtown/waterfront Newport and is a fun place to walk around, pop into bars, restaurants, cute little shops, and historic homes.
The Castle Hill Inn has a beautiful and large lawn that over looks the Narragansett Bay with the famous Newport Bridge in the distance. Great place to snag an adirondack chair, grab a beverage, and enjoy the sites.
