1:00 pm - 4:45 pm
We will meet at the Porter Family Picnic Area 2 miles past the park entrance station. It is a CA state park with a fee (CA residents can get a parks pass from their local library). There is not a lot of parking and it is scattered throughout the park, so please arrive early in case you have to walk a bit to the meet-up point. Carpooling is recommended. Cell phone reception is spotty, so you may not be able to rely on it to communicate with the group if you are late. We will probably do the "Maple Falls via Bridge Creek Trail and Aptos Creek Road" hike. It is a 9.9 mi moderate hike, but it is out-and-back, so people can turn around whenever they like. You can read more about it on AllTrails: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/california/maple-falls-via-the-bridge-creek-trail-and-aptos-creek-road
11:00 am - 11:30 am
There will be a few chairs, but most guests will stand on the grass for the short ceremony. Be judicious about your footwear choice.
Join if you wish, no pressure to attend. In the event of rain, the ceremony will take place at the reception location at noon.
12:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Festive, Garden, or Casual attire. No suits required. It will be indoors-outdoors, with more space outside, so check the weather and wear something you can party in.
We will have an open bar with SARA beer, local wine, and cider. There will be a food truck and dessert. 21+ guests only. Dogs welcome.
4:00 pm - 4:00 pm
The reception is 21+ only. We understand that several of you will be traveling with children. If you would like to be put in touch with other guests who will be traveling with children to coordinate on supervision or activities, please select "will attend" for at least one guest in the RSVP section for this event.
12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
In case of rain: meet at Sante Adairius Rustic Ales Portal, 1315 Water St, Santa Cruz, CA 95062
If you are still in town, come hang out on the Santa Cruz pier. You can check out the sea lions and watch for whales and surfboard-stealing sea otters.
