David and Abigail both knew that they were ready to settle down. They had both always wanted a family and marriage early on in life, and this is where God seemed to lead them both. In the search, they both looked into dating apps, because where else do you meet someone in 2022? Abigail’s father had been watching a documentary on technology and it talked about how Hinge was the dating app for long-term relationships. Peaking her interest, Abigail downloaded the app. One day she received the notification that this guy named David liked her profile. Upon looking at his awfully vague profile, she swiped “No”. However, God started to work in her. With that gut feeling and the thought of, “Well he is kind of cute…”, she reversed the action and messaged him “Hey!” and the rest became history. David asked Abigail out to coffee on October 15th, 2022. After a 5-hour long coffee meeting, they both promptly called family and friends talking about how each other was “the one”. Upon hearing this, Abigail’s father told her to tell David to pick her up from the house for the second date because he’d like to “meet this guy”. Knowing that it was crazy to meet the family on the second date, but trusting God, Abigail asked David. With David being as crazy as he is, he replied, “I am more than ok with that. I would love to meet him”. Since that day, Abigail and David have blended so well with each other and their families. They both knew that a relationship without the foundation of Christ would crumble. Ever since they met, they have prayed over each other before every meal and have studied the bible together. David and Abigail both pray that God blesses them and uses this foundation for the good. These values of Christianity and family are what caused the first spark. Flash forward to January 29th, 2023, David asked Abigail to marry him. As previously mentioned, family means everything to one another. Abigail requested that her family was there to celebrate, so he asked her in her parents’ living room. Plus Abigail’s father proposed to her mother in her parents’ living room too, so it was tradition at that point. David and Abigail are both so excited to see how God continues to work in their lives.
