In the spring semester of 2018, Maggie's sorority, Chi Omega, and Brandon's Fraternity, Lambda Chi Alpha, were paired for Indiana State University's Spring Week. Maggie and Brandon knew of each other but did not pursue one another until the summer of 2018. After turning down Brandon's date request three times, Maggie finally agreed to go on a first date with Brandon on August 5th. The pair traveled to Kings Island for a day of fun and instantly hit it off! The rest is history from there! Brandon visited Maggie the following week and comforted her as she was recovering from a tonsillectomy. On August 17th, 2018 Brandon officially asked Maggie to be his girlfriend! Since they started dating, Brandon and Maggie have traveled to Lake Cumberland on multiple occasions, took a trip to Disney World with Brandon's family, have made countless trips to Cracker Barrel, and have made so many memories in between. For months leading up to their proposal day, Brandon worked to plan the PERFECT engagement. On November 18th, 2019 Brandon got down on one knee surrounded by Lambda Chi Alpha brothers, Chi Omega sisters, and all of their close family members. Since getting engaged, Brandon and Maggie both graduated from Indiana State University, relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida, and have since moved back to Brandon's hometown of Greenfield, IN! After waiting an additional 357 days from their original wedding date, the two are more than excited to take on the next chapter of their lives together and cannot wait to celebrate with all of you on February 12th, 2022 at the Sycamore at Mallow Run!

Brandon planned this day for months with the help of family, friends, his fraternity brothers, and Maggie's sorority sisters. With the help of Lambda Chi Alpha and Chi Omega’s Social chairs, Brandon planned a “date party” social. Essentially there was a curtain separating two rooms, one with the boys and one with the girls. The girls were lined up to be paired with their “speed date” and were greeted on the other side of the curtain. They completed two rounds of speed dates so Maggie was not suspecting of anything special for the third round. However, the third round was by far the best! Maggie was last in the lineup for round 3 and when she walked through the curtain she was greeted by her sorority sisters and Brandon’s fraternity brothers lining the sides of a candlelit aisle of rose petals. As Maggie walked to Brandon at the end of the aisle, their song (Tangled Up in You) played over the speakers. As Maggie got to Brandon, he got on one knee and as they both sobbed, Maggie said YES to marry her best friend in the whole world! Brandon also arranged for all of their immediate family to be there to experience this milestone in their lives! It was truly the best experience and a memory they will cherish forever! Being surrounded by 80+ of the most important people in their lives was something they were so grateful for. After SO MANY congratulatory hugs, they posed for group pictures and Brandon whispered to Maggie, “so now the social begins.” Brandon and Maggie's families brought food and drinks for everyone to enjoy together for an immediate engagement party. This was such a thoughtful and detailed proposal, just because Brandon wanted everything to be perfect for Maggie. Brandon and Maggie are so thankful for all of the efforts that went into planning this night and are so happy they had so many people there to celebrate this milestone in their lives!
