Kathryn is Kate's second cousin and has always been like an older sister to her. She was the match maker who introduced Kate and Dave after getting to know Dave while Kathryn's husband was travelling in the summer of 2016. She always wanted family closer to where she lived and she got her wish when a set up meeting between the Kate & Dave turned into a first date and here we are now. Her 4 girls- Carmyn, Sophia, Charlotte and Adele are very important to both Dave & Kate and are the flower girls!
Dawn Bell

Dawn and Kate both grew up in Stittsville in the same subdivision but didn't meet until their first year at Bishop's university. Dawn has owned and operated a restaurant in Perth for the past 8 years. Dating back to their time at Bishop's, Kate & Dawn have been travel friends and have gone on 8 different trips together from Mexico to Portland and Cape Breton. Despite living in different cities, they both maintain their strong friendship with weekly calls on their long drives to work, constant planning of the next trip and prioritizing seeing each other when in the same city.
Lisa Wagner
Bridesmaid
Lisa and Kate were randomly selected to be roommates in their first year of university at Bishop's. Lisa is a lawyer from Halifax and married Phil in 2016 with Kate by her side and they now have an adorable son Will. Lisa played a pivotal role in Kate's life at university and has been a constant supportive friend ever since. Kate and Lisa have maintained a strong friendship by ensuring they see each other annually- Kate visited Lisa in Amsterdam while she was there on exchange, they both lived in Vancouver at the same time for 6 months, and have traveled between Halifax and Toronto over the years to get quality time together.
Carmyn Doan

Carmyn is 10 years old and the oldest child of Kathryn & Clair. Kate has been babysitting Carmyn since she was a baby, including having her for a sleepover when she was only 13 months old at Kate's condo in Liberty Village where she popped in the tub! Carmyn is a great big sister to her sisters, loves skating and having dance parties.
Sophia Doan
Flower Girl
Sophia and Kate have a lot in common even though they are 26 years apart- opinionated, driven, passionate, and at times bossy but with a big heart. Sophia keeps Kate and Dave on their toes and loves them both even though she won't admit she loves Dave as much as she does. When asked if she would be a flower girl, she said yes but that she was going to make a speech! Can't wait to see what this spunky 7 year old will deliver!
Charlotte Doan
Flower Girl
Charlotte and Dave hold a special bond - not sure if its the red hair or both of their sweet sides but its pretty cute to watch them interact! Charlotte was born when Kate was living in Vancouver but was only 2 when Dave and Kate met. She loves them both and can't wait to be 5 years old on their special day and a little bit taller than when they got engaged.
Adele Doan

Kate and Dave have known Adele since the night she was born- Dave was on the tractor planting wheat and Kate took the girls to the hospital to visit their new sister. Adele has been full of personality since the moment she joined this world and always has a big smile when Kate or Dave come into a room. This 2 year old will be a mover and shaker out on the dance floor!
Fraser Doan
Best Man
Fraser & Dave have known each other their entire lives often finding themselves on opposite sides of the ball field or the blue-line. After college they both went back home within a mile of each other which made it easy to keep in touch and carpool to many functions and games. During the spring and fall seasons they can often be found driving tractors side by side in the fields and on rainy days catching up over a coffee.
Jamie Davis

Jamie and Dave grew up together riding the school bus and playing ball in Otterviile. They always had a blast playing ball or hockey and were often accompanied by Jamie's grandpa Butch who taught them many valuable life lessons that they are both reminded of regularly. Although they don't get a chance to catch up as often anymore they always start right back where they left off whenever see each other.
Clair Doan

Clair and Dave grew up only a mile apart and although they have always known each other it has been in the past few years that Dave has gotten to know him and his family well. It was through Clair and Kathryn and their little girls that Dave was introduced to Kate. Since then they have spent many memorable times together whether its working together on projects at the farm or fun times with the entire family.

MC & Musical Performer
Steph & Kate went to Bishop's together- sharing a passion for musicals, dance parties, adventures, and wine! After many years living in different cities, Steph and Kate overlapped for a few years in Toronto before Steph moved to Westchester Virginia to be a musical theater professor! Steph has a unique lens to the early days of Kate & Dave dating and has effectively lived with them for short bursts of time when she came back to visit. There is no one who knows more about the two of us and how we came to be. We both are thrilled to have Steph MC our wedding and dazzle our guests with her musical ability.
