William Turner and Darlene King started their journey together in their hometown of Ecorse, Mi. William was a star basketball player, and Darlene was a cheerleader, and although they never dated during their high school years, they were great friends. It was only after many years after high school that they began to date. With William being a world traveler and Darlene maintaining her residence in Michigan, they were able to spark a strong bond and relationship which lasted for a few years. As life would have it then, William and Darlene parted ways with no thoughts of reuniting. Ten years later, William returned to Michigan, and as fate would have it, he reconnected with Darlene just to catch up....(so he says). They quickly learned that they still had a spark in their eyes for one another. After that initial reunion, they immediately began dating again, and for the past six years, they have been inseparable. In the sixth year of their relationship, William hosted a surprise birthday celebration for Darlene. Little to her knowledge, he would "pop the question"! And pop the question he did. Amongst family and friends, William kneeled on one knee and asked Darlene to be his wife. To her overwhelming surprise, she was able to muster out a YES, through her tears of joy. As God would have it, in the 7th year of their relationship (seven being the number of completion), they will solidify their union amongst family and friends by completing one chapter of their lives and starting a new chapter as Husband and Wife! #TurningTurner2023
