Our Love Story
They both believe that while they first met in 2014, God created them for each other, before they were formed.
Dariana, a high school English teacher at the time, was not looking for love. “I had made up in my mind that I was ok with being single. I was adjusting to a new city and starting to feel somewhat situated. But my plans are not His plans.”
Karen, who was naturally a caretaker, was completing nursing school, so her focus was passing her board examinations…until she met Dariana.
For the first month, they mostly talked on the phone. “It felt like more than butterflies; she felt like home…like, I had found a little nook in this world, and I could freely be me,” Dariana says. "She spent weekends taking a class from 9-4. I would come over just to be in her presence. I’d grab us lunch and sit with her during her class, cheering her on. I knew then, this was more. I simply enjoyed being in her company."
From then on it was clear that they captured each other's hearts.
