I guess the question is, how did we meet—when did our love truly begin? Like many love stories, ours was unique, unexpected, and came out of nowhere. Some would say it was God-ordained because, looking back, it was nothing short of divine intervention. We’re still amazed it took so long for us to find each other. Dante and Brooke met through a mutual friend. One day, Brooke saw Dante in a friend’s Instagram story, and something about him caught her eye. Curious, Brooke called her girlfriend to ask if she knew who he was. Like any good friend, her girlfriend went into full detective mode, and to Brooke’s surprise, she knew him. She spoke so highly of him and even found his Instagram profile. Brooke’s friend urged her to follow him, but Brooke resisted. Instead, she prayed, asking God to bring them together if it was meant to be. The very next morning, Brooke received a message from Dante, and the rest was history. From the beginning, both of them were so intentional, always showing genuine care and thoughtfulness. They built a beautiful friendship, talking all day, every day, and sharing their deepest vulnerabilities and dreams. They often call each other soulmates, believing that God brought them together for a reason. Now, they laugh often and feel so grateful, knowing that God is GOOD. He brought them together in a season of uncertainty, guiding them to love when they needed it most.

The proposal was everything and more. All of our friends and family were there, and our hearts were filled with joy! Before the proposal, I remember Dante casually mentioning different people who were coming to my party—which turned out to be our engagement party. He kept saying, “I hope all of my friends make it.” Not knowing about the surprise engagement, I kept reassuring him that they would. Honestly, as much as I knew we loved and adored each other, I didn’t know if God thought it was time. I knew God said “one day,” but I didn’t know if my birthday would be that day. Our families did a fantastic job keeping it a secret and left me speechless when he popped the question. We couldn’t have envisioned that moment any other way.
