Flight
The closest airports to our location that runs domestic flights to our wedding destination would be PBG (PLATTSBURGH NY 47.3 miles - 58 Minutes), ALB (ALBANY NY 140 Miles - 2.25 Hours), BTV (BURLINGTON VT 62 MILES 2 Hours), YUL (MONTREAL, CANADA 112 Miles - 2 Hours) to Lake Placid. Bring Your Passport if flying to Canada. It’s very similar to how Colorado is where you will need to fly to the airport then drive a couple hours to get the to the mountains. Our recommendation is to either fly in with people and Split an Uber or taxi, or rent a vehicle.
Travel Note
From New York City and New Jersey: Take the NY State Thruway (I-87) north to the Adirondack Northway (Exit 24 in Albany). Follow 87 to Exit 30. Pick up Rt. 9 north and follow it for two miles to Rt. 73. Continue on 73 for 28 miles to Lake Placid area. Drive time from NYC: 5 hrs, Albany: 2 1/2 hrs. From Montreal: Take Route 15 south to Champlain Crossing, connecting with I-87 south. Take Exit 34 west, following Route 9N, then follow Route 86 to the Whiteface Mountain/Lake Placid area. Drive time: 2 hours.
Travel Note
One house is on the venue premise and the other is off the premise only 9 min away from the venue. I would recommend looking into Airbnb and Vrbo if you are looking for a less expensive option then the houses on the venue property. The venue is 7 minutes from main st where all the shops, restaurants, and bars are located. There are many other hotels to stay at in town that are even less expensive than the ones I had listed on this site. Others to look into are the Marriot, High Peaks Resort, Hampton Inn, North Woods Inn, Lake Placid Summit Hotel, best western and many more.

Shuttle

The shuttle will start at 1:45pm to pick up the groom and groomsman. The bride and bridesmaids will be picked up at 2pm. Guests will start to be picked up around 2:30pm.
