Quality brunch/dinner American fare staple right off of Washington St in SoNo. Shared plates are fantastic for a group dinner! Highly recommend.
One of our very favorite date night spots. Highly recommend ordering a drink and round of oysters to enjoy waterside while waiting for your table. Casual picnic tables, killer fish tacos, and beautiful views.
Across the courtyard from The Spread (its sister restaurant) this casual dining spot offers delicious “cross cultural cuisine.”
Est. in 1889, this is an old-school hangout for a drink or casual bite to eat in the heart of SoNo. Award winning clam chowder here too.
BY FAR our favorite local spot. Incredible breakfast/lunch sandwiches and unbeatable ambiance on the water with live music. Laid back and good fun - our kind of place! (Would recommend calling to ensure they're open before you head over - they take a midday break to switch from breakfast to lunch menus)
Great grab & go breakfast (think egg sandwiches, smoothies, coffee...). There's a quiet outdoor seating area in the back too. Spencer's favorite breakfast there is "The Shipwreck" on a wrap.
A new bagel spot within walking distance from our home?! Danielle's dream! We may or may not have attended opening day...
One of the first restaurants we fell in love with in town. Great outdoor seating and often live music on the patio. The First & Cove Cobb is excellent - swap the grilled chicken for chicken cutlet and thank us later!
Upscale waterside dining, serene spot to watch boats come in.
Looking for some 'za to take on your train ride back to NYC? Look no further than a 1 minute walk from the East Norwalk train station. We love "Native Son" and "Magic Five." (Pro tip: Ask for the meatballs - they're not on the menu, but they're great!)
Great spot for cocktails, upscale southern fare, and weekend brunch. Shrimp & grits are terrific.
Greek cuisine, on the way from The Watershed to venues. The “Mykonos Grill” is a ton of food, great for sharing!
The best ice cream around, and it's within (tempting) walking distance from our home! Spencer's favorite is a classic soft serve twist, Danielle goes for the "The Magic Potion" specialty shake.
A bit "off the beaten path," but incredible venue to have a few drinks, listen to live music, watch a game, and stay warm by a fire pit.
Where we got engaged! It's our go-to spot for beach walk, paddle boarding, and sunset picnic dinners.
If you have a few hours free and are looking to know more about Norwalk, there is a sightseeing/historical tour of the outer Norwalk Harbor and Norwalk’s three historic lighthouses, including Sheffield Island Lighthouse.
Say hello to seals at the Maritime Aquarium! This is a long time Norwalk staple, and where Danielle's older sister Chelsea had her "ChelSea World" themed batmitzvah.
