WHAT SHOULD I WEAR? IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is elevated cocktail. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. We want you to be comfortable however would request that you refrain from wearing jeans, sneakers, or flip-flops. If you want to match the color scheme, you can wear shade of blue or green.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE THIS TIME OF YEAR?

Answer

The average temperature in Morrison in August for a typical day ranges from a high of 82°F to a low of 53°F. Some would describe it as pleasantly warm with a gentle breeze. Afternoon showers are common in August and will typically only last an hour or so. Denver will typically be 5°F to 10°F warmer than the venue location due to the change in elevation.

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside. The weather is typically nice during the day in August however we would suggest you bring sunglasses or a light sweater. Our Texas guests might find nights in Colorado slightly chilly!

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE TO THE CEREMONY

Answer

Please arrive 15-20 minutes early to the ceremony to find your seat and get settled. The ceremony will start at 4pm MST sharp. Please plan your drive, Uber, or ride with extra time to ensure you are on time or early.

HOW DO I GET TO THE VENUE?

Answer

Venue Address: 8884 US Hwy 285, Morrison, CO 80465 From Downtown Golden: Take W 6th Ave (US-6). Go for 2.9 mi. Take ramp onto CO-470 E toward I-70 W. Go for 6.2 mi. Take exit 5A toward Fairplay onto US-285 S. Go for 9.4 mi. The Woodlands will be on your left 0.3 mi before S Doubleheader Ranch Rd. From Downtown Denver: Take W 6th Ave (US-6 W). Go for 9.6 mi. Take ramp onto CO-470 E toward I-70 W. Go for 6.2 mi. Take exit 5A toward Fairplay onto US-285 S. Go for 9.4 mi. The Woodlands will be on your left 0.3 mi before S Doubleheader Ranch Rd. From DIA (Airport): Take Pena Blvd. Go for 9.8 mi. Take the left exit onto I-70 W (Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Hwy). Go for 24.8 mi. Take exit 260 toward Colorado Springs onto CO-470 E. Go for 5.7 mi. Take exit 5A toward Fairplay onto US-285 S. Go for 9.7 mi. The Woodlands will be on your left 0.3 mi before S Doubleheader Ranch Rd.

WHERE SHOULD GUESTS PARK? IS PARKING FREE?

Answer

The venue can accommodate 60 personal vehicles. Parking is free. Ride share such as Uber and Lyft work well to arrive at the venue. However, are difficult to arrange for leaving the venue when more than one car is requested. Wait-times range from 15 minutes to over one hour. Leaving vehicles overnight is allowed: pickup must be before 10am next day.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We have hired an amazing photographer (@katherinekareephotography on Instagram) who will be beautifully capturing our day. We ask that you do not take pictures during the processional. We will have a chance for guests to take photos during a specific time in the ceremony so please keep your phones in your pockets and enjoy the unplugged ceremony with us.

ARE KIDS WELCOME?

Answer

Children are welcome. Please just let us know when you RSVP that you will be bringing them. We do love your little ones and are excited to have them with us on our wedding day. We have waited 11 years to get married and want to be able to hear each other vows. We request that parents of young children be mindful of noise interruptions during the ceremony. We will reserve outside isle seats for parents of young children to make it easier to step away, if needed. In these cases, we have a beautiful outdoor space that you can bring them to if you find they're interruptions in the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding.

WILL THERE BE AN OPEN BAR?

Answer

We will have an open bar that will be serving beer and wine.

DO YOU HAVE A HOTEL BLOCK FOR GUESTS? WHERE DO YOU RECOMMEND I STAY?

Answer

We do have a hotel block for guest. It is Courtyard by Marriott Denver Golden/Red Rocks. We also have a few other options for hotels listed under travel. We plan on spending the weekend around Golden, CO.

What are my transportation options for the weekend?

Answer

Denver has a rail system that can take you from the airport to Golden. Ubers can be utilized throughout the weekend to get around to wedding weekend events or exploring the Denver area. There will be shuttles after the reception that will be taking guests to the hotels with room blocks. Cars can be rented from the airport. If you drive to the wedding and need to leave a car there that is an option.
