Garrett was my little brother in my fraternity. Picking him as my little was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Garrett is such a genuine good person, but also has a hilarious goofy side that I thoroughly enjoy. I consider myself incredibly fortunate to know Garrett, who possesses virtually every imaginable trait of a lifelong friend. Favorite activities with Garrett: Over-analyzing our ratings of beers, watching MXC re-runs and double dates with Garrett and his amazing wife, Brittany.

Monicas is the best sister-in-law anyone could ever ask for! She is the epitome of the sister I never had but always dreamed of and makes my brother the happiest man in the world. She also made me an Auntie to the cutest kiddos around:) Favorite memories with Monica: Visiting the Big Island and having so many insane adventures including swimming with Sperm Whales in the ocean!

Eddy is the first lifelong friend that I ever made. Ever since 5th grade, I’ve considered Eddy to be my best friend, and no matter where in the world he has lived (Australia, Kenya, Ukraine, Portugal just to name a few), the two of us have always remained close. Aside from being one of the most intelligent and driven people I know, Eddy has always provided the most consistent and sincere friendship I could ever hope for. Favorite activities with Eddy: Long beach runs, open ocean swims and watching Padre games.

Shanelle and I met at USD and have grown so much closer since our sorority days! Now I am so grateful to call her one of my best friends and one of the most loyal people I know. Rom and I lived together for 10 awesome years during and after college. We often marvel at how similar we are in so many ways. My parents consider him to be their “Filipino son” and has even been featured on the Reese Christmas card! Rom is easily one of the kindest people I’ve ever met, but always keeps me laughing with his witty sarcasm and comedic timing. Favorite activities with Rom: Playing FIFA tournaments late into the night and practicing dancing in front of the mirror.

He is so present every time we spend time together, and I really value how I feel comfortable talking to him about anything. Mike (or Bako as we call him), and I bonded over an obsession with Manchester United (our favorite soccer team), but he has evolved into one of the most genuine and loyal friends I have. He is the type of friend who would do anything for those close to him but ask for nothing in return. Favorite activity with Mike: Meeting each other at 4:30am on Saturdays to watch Manchester United games.
