As we are both from the city of Baltimore, we have known each other for years. We were casual acquaintances and would speak when we saw each other. On December 31, 2020 we both attended a New Year’s Eve party hosted by a mutual friend. We saw each other and spoke as we normally do and thought nothing of it. Some thing in the air was different that night. The energy was high. The chemistry was different and from across the room we look at each other a little differently. We eventually started a conversation which led to hours of dancing, more conversation, laughs that turned into a wonderful evening. Somehow, we didn’t want that evening to end. January 1, 2021 we went on our first official date. The more we talked the more we realized how special our connection was & after all these years destiny brought us together. We have been inseparable since that day. We have taken on every challenge that life could possibly bring and we have done it side-by-side, supporting each other unconditionally. We never thought our love would be solidified and strengthened in such a short time. It’s truly our fairytale. Our eyes met, our hearts connected, our souls united and we will soon become one!
From the first day my mother met Jay, she would say he was my husband. We would laugh and joke about it and every time she said it in front of him he would said “I am” & my response would be “Oh yeah?” One day, after our jokes and dialogue, he said well I do want to be. I was slightly shocked because this time it was different. It was said with complete sincerity in his eyes and in his voice. I was overjoyed and couldn’t deny my urge to say “OK let’s do it.” Not too long after, my mother fell ill. A short time after, she told my father to give Jimmey her wedding ring so that he could give it to me. On my birthday, July 19, 2022 he proposed and said “It’s official, official now we’re getting married!” Our hearts were overflowing with emotion. Our faith in love was completely restored & we were actually going to marry our soul mates.
