We met while I was substituting one day at John F Kennedy Memorial High School. While I sat in the office , waiting for my assignment, a man( Frankie) passed by and we made eye contact ( not knowing I be working with him all day) . Eventually, the athletic director ( Mr.Daly) told me I be working with Mr. Tedesco . When he ( Mr. Daly) told me that I wondered if he was related to Mrs . Tedesco who I previously student taught with. While in the gym, we met and I asked Frankie if he was related to Mrs. Tedesco , he responded “yes” . I proceeded to tell him how I knew his mom, ( which could have been a total turn off but surprisingly worked to my advantage). We worked together all day and spoke about all different things. I thought he was kind and compassionate about his job. The day was about to end and I told Frank how nice it was to work with him. We parted and went our separate ways ( I was bummed when he didn’t ask for my number by the end of the day , not knowing he was trying to catch up to me at my car before I left). Eventually ( with help from mutual teacher friends) Frank got my number, and texted me late afternoon that day . He asked if I get drinks with him. The next week we had our first date at “ Rosie’s Wine Bar” in Westfield . We spoke about our lives , work, and things we enjoyed .The rest was history!
