STEAMSHIP AUTHORITY FERRY (CAR AND PASSENGER FERRY)

If you plan to bring a car to Martha’s Vineyard, the only way to do so is via the Steamship Authority ferry, which departs from Woods Hole on Cape Cod. Car reservations fill up quickly, so we highly recommend booking your ferry in advance. Reservations open on January 30th, 2025. You can book your tickets at SteamshipAuthority.com or by calling (508) 477-7447. If you're not bringing a car and plan to walk onto the ferry, no advance reservation is necessary—tickets can be purchased on the day of travel at the kiosk or on the mobile app for $9 per passenger. For guests who do not want to bring their car on the ferry or those who miss their ferry, there are 3 Steamship Authority parking lots in Woods Hole/Falmouth. A daily fee applies for parking, but free shuttles run frequently between the lots and the ferry terminal. Shuttle rides typically take about 10–15 minutes. We recommend arriving at the parking lot 1 hour before departure to leave time for shuttle travel. Once you get to the island, the ferry will drop you off at one of two locations on the island—either Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven. Both towns have buses, Ubers, and taxis available to take you to your hotels/house rentals. Feel free to reach out if you'd like any assistance in arranging your ferry tickets.

SEASTREAK NEW BEDFORD FERRY: PASSENGER FERRY ONLY (NO CARS)

Another ferry option is via Seastreak which is located in New Bedford, MA. This is a passenger ferry only - so you must park your car overnight. Offsite parking is available at the Whale’s Tooth parking lot. Complimentary shuttle service is provided between the lot and the pier. Passes may be reserved ahead of time through Seastreak, or purchased at the Whale’s Tooth parking lot booth (subject to availability - so we would suggest reserving parking ahead of time). Round trip tickets are $79 per person. The ferry will drop you off at Oak Bluffs in Martha's Vineyard. There are buses, taxis and ubers available at the ferry to take you to your hotel/house rental.

New York: Both JFK and LGA have direct flights to Martha's Vineyard. Boston: Logan has direct flights to Martha's Vineyard.

GETTING TO THE WEDDING VENUE **PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING YOUR STAY*

Buses will pick up guests at 2 designated pick-up point locations and bring guests to the wedding venue. Parking will be available at our wedding venue if you are bringing a car and would like to drive. Ubers/Taxis are limited on the island so if you choose to stay in a hotel/house in Oak Bluffs, West Tisbury or Vineyard Haven, we suggest scheduling a taxi ahead of time. You can use Adam's Cab Taxi service. The 2 shuttle pick-up points are listed below. We ask that you please take a look at where our shuttle pick up points are located and try to book your hotel/house rental within close proximity. STAYING HERE: HOUSE & HOTEL RENTALS

AIRBNB/VRBO - For groups we highly recommend booking a vacation home, even for just the weekend. It’s the most reasonable pricing per person. This also helps guarantee parking, especially if you want to stay close to downtown! We suggest staying in Edgartown or Katama area, because this is where the shuttles are bringing guests to/from the wedding. Be sure to search for both 2 and 3 night stays. Some homes become available and others offer better rates for 3+ night stays. We recommend booking ASAP, as September is a very busy time on the Island. Please reach out to us if you have any questions - we also have a few homes saved that we are happy to suggest if you reach out! *Winnetu/Mattakesett House Rentals: We have reserved several houses here for 3-4 night stays (note that their website typically requires a 7-night minimum). If you're interested in booking a townhouse, you can use the link below to submit a form request, as availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. For 4-night stays, please mention "Falchiere/Dowd Wedding" on the request form. Most of these houses have four bedrooms, accommodating up to four couples (8 people), making it one of the most affordable options. Winnetu Townhouse Rentals or Hotel

You have the option to stay at either the Townhouses (details on booking mentioned above) or the Winnetu hotel. The Winnetu hotel offers a free shuttle service to downtown Edgartown, where you’ll find plenty of shops and restaurants. The hotel is also conveniently located next to the beach. If you’re traveling with a group, we recommend the Townhouses as a more economical choice. They feature 3-4 bedrooms and 3-4 bathrooms, making them ideal for a group of couples (6-8 people) to share. You'll also have access to the shuttle service downtown and be within walking distance of the beach. While rentals are typically for a week, we have a few houses reserved for 4-night stays. Please see above for details. When booking the Townhouses, please mention "Falchiere/Dowd Wedding" on the form
