Matron of Honor
From playing Pretty Pretty Princess in the living room and pretending to be mermaids at The River, to European travels, colleges, Topher Columbo statues, surgeries, graduations, building families, and everything in between; Julie has been a role model, sounding board, support system, and best friend for Danielle through it all. Plus, she has given Danielle three of her most treasured gifts in this world- her beautiful children. She's the maid of honor that's made of honor, and Danielle is ecstatic to have her by her side.
Man of Honor
It was a sunny day in Boulder when two high school Juniors were headed down Broadway in search of lunch. Chris turned to Taylor and said "I think you might be my best friend" to that Taylor exclaimed "dude I think you might be my best friend!" and it has pretty much been like that ever since (at least I think that's how it happened). Taylor is a Boulder native through and through, his dad was even one of the first employees at Celestial Seasonings. But don't think the neatness stops there, Taylor is a man of many talents. Give this man a notepad and he will fill it with colorful drawings and incredible poems. Give this man a basketball and you'll see one of the best jumps shots from a white boy. Give this man a kitchen and he'll probably do something cool there too.
Bridesmaid
They bonded over chipotle, Febreeze, bike rides, and All Time Low at age 12, and the rest is history. Danielle and Abby have traversed many beaches, eaten a lot of pancakes and French fries, experienced incontinence from laughter once or twice, watched Hot Rod a few too many times, and have stayed friends through moves, careers, colleges, and some questionable outfit choices (do we bring back the tall socks and colored converse?). In fact, Abby introduced the bride in groom when they were 12 and said they would date back in 2007. The couple couldn't be happier to have her by their side. Ladies, it's better than a Fritz Bernaise, it's Abby, and she's readdddy to partayyy!!!
Groomswoman
When Chris and Kylie first met, Chris was just some guy who was dating her aunt (she could not figure out why he kept showing up at family events), but oh boy how the times have changed. Now he’s just some guy who is marrying her aunt! As the eldest niece of Danielle’s, the original Munch, Kylie has played an important role in Chris’s assimilation into the McAvoy clan. Without her approval, he probably never would have made it. Chris has returned the favor in earnest by talking her ear off about “life lessons” at every family function, and though it is usually unsolicited, has led to some great bonding. Having her as a groomswoman is truly an honor!
Bridesmaid
When they were 13, they would stay up late dressing up as aliens and watching Rent on repeat (queue the music!). At 16 they were stumble-running through high school, perfecting their dance moves (homecoming, anyone?), and planning for college (mostly by Savannah carrying Danielle through missed classes). By 22, they were navigating nursing, working admin jobs together, borrowing office chairs, and napping whenever possible. Now it's short trips and long FaceTime's until they end up in the same state again. She'll take the strongest drink you have, but also a wine spritzer on the side in case she doesn't like it.
Groomsman
When Chris and Shaun met, Shaun's curly hair covered his eyes, he was pretty shy, and oh yeah, he was 6 years old. Chris was wearing all of his clothes 2 sizes too big, really embraced the essence of the lax bro, and was attempting to impress Shaun's (favorite?) aunt. Since then, the two have grown closer, probably because Shaun is the only niece/nephew to actually look related to Chris. Shaun is now taller and faster than Chris, a tough blow for him to be sure but such is the life of a proud uncle. You will be able to pick him out easily at the wedding as the handsome kid with the best smile and at least one AirPod in at all times.
Bridesmaid
Natalie is the groom's older sister and there was a bit of a fight about which party she would be in. Danielle was victorious in the battle and cannot wait for Natalie to be by her side. Natalie and Danielle have bonded over travel, scuba diving, good food, hard talks, sunshine, spooky season, blue trees, and cute cats. Natalie pushes Danielle to continue learning and growing in all aspects of her life, and is always there for a quick chat or an extended vent. Though the wedding will make it official, Danielle has considered Natalie a sister for years and cannot wait for all of the adventures to come. How neat is that!
Groomsman
Jordan is the brother that Chris's parents rudely never provided for him. Luckily his sister - Natalie - roped in this marlin and oh boy is he a catch. The Master of Tea, The South Beach Teach, Double Joe 7. He goes by many names - indicative of his many talents. If you find yourself hankering for some knowledge in the schools of tea, beer, anthropology, or the impact of growing up in both Steamboat and Paris then look no further. You've heard of the Fountain of Youth, but have you heard of the Fountain of Fun? Well now you have because that's Jordan.
Bridesmaid
Audrey and Danielle met in 2006 at the ripe age of 11 (can you smell the overuse of Bath&Body Works body spray in the PE locker room?). Throughout pivotal stages of life, Audrey and Danielle have been able to pick right where they left off every time they see one another, whether it's been a week or a year. They have bonded over being homebodies, crazy cat ladies, and do-gooders too a fault (they WILL make a difference if it is the last thing they do!). Audrey has a massive heart and an open mind, hasn't bedazzled anything since she was 22, and has been there for all of the ups and downs (middle school crushes, am I right?) in Danielle's life. Danielle cannot wait to have her be a part of the biggest "up" yet.
Groomsman
Christian is Canadian, we like to think that explains all the weirdness. He has never owned any Apple products - this kid even had a Zune?!?! No more need be said, but we digress. He and Chris met when Chris started working at Autodesk. Christian would show him the ropes, then they would run across the street after work to take advantage of a few happy hour gin & tonics. This man whose last name is Greek for "Golden Snake" is one of the best skiers you'll plummet down a mountain with and loves a good waffle on the mountain as a snack. Ladies, if you're looking for a man who will talk your ear off about the structural deficiencies of most boutique ski brands, then cook you the best meal you've ever head, this is your guy!
Bridesmaid
Hannah was less than pleased when the choir teacher sat a black clothing-clad, tone def, transfer student next to her on day one of sophomore year, but fortunately, that feeling was short lived. Through summer concerts, endless science and math classes, margaritas on the beach, hospital stays, movie nights, multiple college degrees, and endless family dinners, Hannah and Danielle have made more memories than they can count. Though Hannah may wear high heels with her sweatpants, she will never tell on you for saying a bad language word, and she has supplied Danielle with candy, hugs, and pep-talks through everything for the last 10 years.
Officiant
David L Robinson. We never did get to ask why his dad gave him a single letter as a middle name but some of us believe it stands for “legend”. When Chris and Danielle were deciding who should marry them, the choice was clear. The man that has known Chris since day one and has known Danielle since the beginning of their relationship. Through family vacations, losses, cornhole tournaments, climbing mountains (in Colorado), and a lot in between, Danielle has found a family in Dave and absolutely delights in their time together. Similarly, from endless tears in foreign countries, talks about everything from politics to cryptocurrency to history, sailing, traveling, and a beer fest or two, Dave is Chris’ greatest mentor and role model and he is honored to have his father as the officiant.
