Danielle and Callan first met at UCONN when Callan was moving into his dorm room and his roommate's sister showed up to help. After several months of Danielle not realizing that Callan was asking her out, they finally went on a date. It was filled with ice skating, dinner, and a lot of nervous butterflies. After 6 years of long distance (Danielle in New York, Callan in Connecticut) they finally moved in together, and less than a year later they were engaged. They are so excited to spend the next adventure together and thrilled to spend it with their closest friends and family.

Every fall since Danielle graduated, Callan and Danielle visit their alma mater to spend the day apple picking at the same orchard, and walking around the UCONN grounds reminiscing about how they met and where their relationship grew. On October 14th, 2017, they took their usual drive up to Storrs, CT. Callan suggested their first stop to be Horsebarn Hill, a lookout point where you can see the entire campus. They walked up to the top of the hill, looking at where it all started, pointing out their favorite spots, when another couple showed up to admire the views. They were enjoying their time when a young man in a hoodie and sunglasses (it was not a sunny day) started taking not so subtle pictures of the couple next to them. They turned to realized that the other couple just got engaged! Danielle, trying to be polite, told Callan that they should leave and give the couple their moment. As they were walking away, Danielle not so casually asked "So how are YOU going to propose?". Callan replied "Like this" as he got down on one knee.
