Are there shuttle services to the wedding?

Answer

KIND OF. There is a Suttle service that can pick you up at Comfort Inn Suites in Rochelle and drop you off at the wedding venue and vice versa but at a price. This service is not free and requires $800 to book the shuttle. For us to book the shuttle service we will need a deposit from our guest. To calculate the correct deposit we will need those who want the service to let us know a month before the wedding so we know the correct deposit to charge.

Are there any Taxi or Uber services?

Answer

Not really. Since Rochelle is a smaller town, there are not many transportation services. Rockford is the next biggest and closest town to Rochelle but since it is 20 minutes away, many taxis and/or Ubers will not accept ride requests.

Is there much to do in Rochelle, IL?

Answer

No. For those coming from out of town, Rochelle, IL is a very small town. Rockford is a much bigger town and is about 20 minutes away. There are things to do in Rockford but nothing compares to downtown Chicago which is an hour and 40-minute drive away.

Can I just book a hotel in Chicago and drive to the wedding venue?

Answer

Of course! But we will warn you it is an hour and 40 minute drive away on a good day. Traffic can be unpredictable, especially since the wedding is on a Friday. It is better to arrive at the wedding earlier than arrive later due to traffic. Remember the ceremony starts at 5 PM.

I am looking at an arial map and see nothing but corn fields, is this the right address for the wedding?

Answer

Yes. We were just as surprised as you. Depending where you are driving up from, you will see nothing but corn fields but trust in your GPS because it is taking you to the right location.

Can we bring our children?

Answer

There are no uninvited children allowed. Unless they were mentioned in your invention, we are not permitting children.

Is everything at one location?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all in one location. We know this venue is a little distance away but we hope you love it just as much as we do.

Is everything outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors. In the event of rain, the area will be tented or it will be moved indoors. The cocktail hour and reception will be held in a big spacious tent.

What does the venue look like?

Answer

Storybook Gardens is an 8-acre property that have many areas for you to look around and take pictures. There is a lovely pond and beautifully matured trees around the property. The area is mostly grassy. The tent is very spacious and heated if needed.

What type of entertainment will you have?

Answer

Other than seeing the people you love getting married. We will have some fun adult games for you to entertain yourself throughout the cocktail hour and wedding. We will have bean bags, giant connect four, tic tac toe toss, and frisbee toss. We will have two bars. One inside the tent and the whiskey bar that is right outside the tent. We will have a photo area with props inside the tent. There will also be a DJ.
