This is a local brewery that is walking distance from the hotel (and where D & B had their first date, but at the Albany location).
The Shaker & Vine
This is one of D & B’s favorite spots for a glass of wine with a view, where they have dozens of wines on tap and a beautiful patio to hang out on!
Indian Ladder Farms
You all are coming at the most beautiful season in Upstate New York and one of our favorite things to do in the fall is visit all of the great apple farms and breweries for some apple picking and a great local beer!
Altamont Orchards Inc.
Another one of our favorite fall spots, for some apple picking, a good drink, and the BEST apple cider donuts!
Thacher State Park
If anyone is looking to get outdoors for a leisurely hike or just to take in a beautiful view of the fall foliage, be sure to check out Thacher Park!
Lake George
If anyone is planning to make a weekend trip out of their visit, we HIGHLY recommend taking a ride up to Lake George in the fall time if the weather is good! The foliage of the Adirondack Mountains that time of year is breathtaking (and it’s where Brian proposed!). You can take a ride out on the lake on The Horicon or The Adirondac, or visit one of D & B’s favorite spots to dock up to, Blue Water Manor (BEST meal and views on the lake!).
