This is Westin's absolute favorite place. He recommends the hot chicken sandwich. It is very casual and perfect to help after a night with a few drinks. There are multiple locations throughout the city and delivery is always an option.
Fulton Market
The former meatpacking district is now a hip entertainment area known for it's restaurants. Westin & I live in the neighborhood and love everything about it - especially exploring the shops on Randolph St. It's the food capital of the Midwest and offers something for everyone. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND making RESERVATIONS in advance. Quartino Ristorante
Our favorite date night spot. No matter what you get there it's going to be great. It is very affordable and everything is family style/homemade. Bustling, bi-level space where groups go for small & large plates plus cocktails & carafes of wine.
Kitty O'Sheas
Located inside the hotel. It's a traditional bar featuring Irish farm to fork pub fare, beer, wine & live entertainment. We recommend the burger. This place is perfect for drinks in between the ceremony and cocktail hour.
Chicago River Boat Architecture Tours
Explore Chicago's iconic architecture aboard a boat tour of the city. The tour is approximately 1.5 hours and tickets should be purchased in advanced. It is truly an experience you will not want to miss. Buckingham Fountain
Located right across the street from the hotel is the beautiful Grant Park and Buckingham Fountain. The famous Bean is also located in the park. It's perfect for walks, see the lake and a skyline of the city. Buckingham Fountain is a Chicago Landmark in the center of Grant Park, between Queen's Landing and Ida B. Wells Drive. It is one of the largest fountains in the world.
Cindy's Rooftop
Down the street from the hotel this is a perfect rooftop for cocktails. There is a phenomenal view of Grant Park and Lake Michigan. The line in the summer could be long, if that is the case go to the Chicago Athletic Club on the 2nd floor. There is no rooftop but there are games and a comfortable lounge vibe for drinks.
Au Cheval
Voted best burger in the city for multiple years straight. They do not take reservations and the wait is typically an hour. We recommend putting your name in and exploring the bars on Randolph Street while you wait.
Herb N' Kitchen
Located inside the hotel and perfect for a morning coffee or light snack. We LOVE the muffins here, they are made fresh from scratch and no matter what flavor you get we promise it will be delicious. The market serves Starbucks coffee, artisan salads, sandwiches, and multiple other items.
