Things To Do and Places to Eat

The Wedding Website of Stephanie Walters and Daniel O'Leary
We're so excited to have all of our family and friends in Philly! If you are from out of town and have time to explore, here are some of our favorite spots. We included our favorite restaurants, great breweries and beer gardens to check out, and a few suggestions for things to do in and around Philly. Just keep scrolling until you find something that sounds yummy and fun! If you are looking for something to do between the ceremony and reception, the first 2 places on the list are within walking distance from the church.

Flanigan's Boathouse

113 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

One of our favorite spots to grab food and watch a game!

The Great American Pub

123 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

This is a great place for small bites and drinks. Definitely check out the rooftop! This is a good option if you are looking for a place to go between the church and reception.

Conshohocken Farmer's Market

46 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

The farmer's market is held every Saturday on the greenspace outside the Hotel West and Main from 9am-12pm. Check out the produce and goods and enjoy the live music.

Dalessandro's Steaks

600 Wendover Street, Philadelphia, PA 19128

Looking for the REAL best cheesesteak in Philly? This is Steph's vote! Any local will tell you that Pat's vs Geno's is just for tourists. But Dalessandro's is the real deal. Heads up, it is cash only and there is always a line, but I promise it will not disappoint.

Jim's South St.

400 South Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Looking for the REAL best cheesesteak in Philly? This is Dan's pick! There was an unfortunate fire last year and they have been closed since, but they are supposed to be reopened by late summer 2023. Just check that they are open before you try it out.

Reading Terminal Market

1136 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

This is foodie heaven!! A must do in Philly for lunch.

Forbidden Drive

Forbidden Drive, Philadelphia, PA

This is one of our favorite spots to go for a walk or hike. It is beautiful in the fall! This is where most of our engagement photos were taken.

Longwood Gardens

1001 Longwood Road, Kennett Square, PA 19348

You typically need tickets to enter, but it is a beautiful way to spend an afternoon.

Bar Sera

382 East Elm Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

This is where we had our first date!

Peddler's Village

100 Peddlers Village, Lahaska, PA 18931

Very cute place if you are looking for a stop on the way home. There are lots of shops and a few restaurants. This is a good place to find fall or christmas decorations or unique gifts.

Guppy's Good Times

2 Maple Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

you have to try their sushi!

Eastern State Penitentiary

2027 Fairmount Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19130

This is apparently one of the oldest prisons in the country. You can tour the grounds, but for the month of October the place transforms into a very creepy haunted house. Enter at your own risk! Definitely get tickets in advance.

Southern Cross Kitchen

8 East 1st Avenue, Conshohocken, PA 19428

They have a great brunch.

Spruce Street Harbor Park

301 South Christopher Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Really cool spot to check out. There are food and drink vendors and hammocks over the river.

Jasper's Backyard

101 East 7th Avenue, Conshohocken, PA 19428

American food with a cool and cozy vibe. They have really nice outdoor seating.

Art Museum and Rocky Steps

Philadelphia, PA 19130

Did you even go to Philly if you didn't get a selfie on the Rocky Steps?

From The Boot

517 Germantown Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA 19444

This is our go to pizza place! Great pizza and Italian food. It is BYOB.

Old City

Philadelphia

This part of Philly is very pretty to just walk around. This is where all of the historical sites are, including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell.

Independence Beer Garden

100 South Independence Mall West, Philadelphia, PA 19106

This is a super cool spot. There's tons of yard games and comfy chairs. All while taking in the view of Independence Hall. If your around Old City for sightseeing, definitely check out this spot.

Bar Lucca

729 East Hector Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

Great Italian food.

Walk the Schuylkill River Trail

This walking/biking path is miles and miles long and has some scenic spots. It also goes right past the Philadelphia Art Museum if your interested in a long run or bike ride. Steph ran many miles on this trail when training for the marathon! There are entrances to the trail within walking distance to both the Hilton and Marriott in Conshohocken. There are also other scenic trails and walking paths connected to or nearby the SRT. If interested, check out the boardwalk (just past the Art Museum), Kelly drive, or MLK drive.

The StoneRose Restaurant

822 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

Queen & Rook Game Cafe

607 South 2nd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147

This is a cafe by day and bar by night. But the best part is that it is filled with board games to play while you enjoy or coffee or cocktail.

Deli on 4th

326 Fayette Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

If you are looking for a breakfast sandwich, this is the place!

Barcade

1114 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125

This bar is filled with all of the most nostalgic games. Skeeball your heart out!

Frankford Hall

1210 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125

This is a German-style beer garden with long tables, fire pits, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Sampan

124 South 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

This is one of our favorite places to eat when we go into the city!

Morgan's Pier

221 North Christopher Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Great sport to have a drink with a view. This is close to where we took some of our engagement photos.

Giorgio On Pine

1328 Pine Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

Great Italian BYOB. We'd suggest making a reservation.

Dim Sum House By Jane G's - Rittenhouse

1930 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

This is one of our other go-to places for dinner in the city.

Conshohocken Brewing Company

739 East Elm Street, Conshohocken, PA 19428

The food menu is small but the beer is great!

Chestnut Hill Brewing Company

8221 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19118

You have to try one of their pizzas! They have great outdoor seating and next to the brewery is a large market similar to a smaller version of Reading Terminal Market in center city.

Forest & Main Brewing Company

33 East Butler Avenue, Ambler, PA 19002

This is one of Dan's favorite breweries.
