We both decided to try Tinder to find love in 2017. We weren't particularly hopeful given Tinder's reputation but soon enough we were swiping left and right. We matched, Sam initiated the conversation, Dan asked for her number, and the rest is history! After a three hour first date at Feast BBQ, we knew this was something special!
We scheduled a trip to New Orleans in March of 2019. After a delayed flight, a missing Lyft driver, and trouble getting into the house (Dan suggested we sleep in the garage...), we were ready for the Big Easy! The next morning we explored Cemetary No. 1, had the best lunch of our lives at Commander's Palace (with 25 cent martinis!), and Dan found a record shop to peruse. After searching through the stacks Dan suggested going to City Park to take pictures. Sam thought that was a strange request but she agreed. We walked through the open air pavilion near the pond while Dan searched for someone to take our photo. Lo and behold a girl appeared on a bike and Dan hurriedly approached her to take our picture. Unbeknownst to Sam he asked her to hit the record button. Dan walked back to Sam, posed for a moment, then dropped to one knee. He asked Sam to be his wife and she happily agreed!
