Question

What should I expect at a Russian Jewish Wedding?

Answer

Russian weddings are very celebratory, vibrant events! There will be dancing, singing and toasting. One highlight of a Russian wedding is the food and alcohol, which is served differently than a typical affair. We can't wait for you to experience this! You will not leave hungry and we expect all guests to raise their (shot) glasses early and often! There will be many Jewish traditions as part of the wedding ceremony. The bride and groom will stand under a chuppah, a canopy, representing the Jewish home that will be built after marriage. The groom will break a glass at the end of the ceremony, symbolizing that the marriage will last as long as the glass remains broken, i.e. forever. There will be many more Jewish traditions including the Hora, an Israeli dance signifying the couples' union. Get ready for a joyous and FUN celebration!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The wedding attire calls for "Black Tie Optional". We ask that men wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie and that women wear a midi or floor length dress.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, parking is available on site!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotel to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be a shuttle service from the hotel block to the ceremony leaving promptly at 5:30pm. There will be one shuttle returning back to the hotel following the after party, leaving the venue at approximately 1:30am. If you're coming from the city, we kindly ask that you leave plenty of time for your journey and suggest carpooling with friends!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be outside or inside?

Answer

The ceremony and cocktail hour will take place outside. The reception will take place inside. Weather plans are in place, so not to worry!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

A formal invitation will be shared in the coming months. Please kindly RSVP by July 21st, 2024.

Question

How do I choose my entree for dinner?

Answer

There is no need to include your entree preference on your RSVP. Entrees will be served family style with chicken, fish and beef at the wedding. Additionally, there will be an abundance of appetizers spread across each dinner table. Vegetarian options will be present. If you have any specific dietary restrictions or allergies, please let Rebecca or Daniel know ahead of time.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, this is an adult-only affair!
