We're getting married!

We met on the night of April 9, 2019. I was in college living in Las Cruces, NM, and Dan was in the Army living in El Paso, TX. A few days after we met, I was preparing to return home for summer break. During summer break, Dan and I would text, Facetime, and call each other every day. We instantly connected, and it felt like we had known each other for much longer than a few months. Dan was in California when I returned to Las Cruces after summer break, and he told me he would be back in El Paso soon to take me on our first date. I didn't agree right away; however, Dan gave me an "ultimatum" and said that if I didn’t go on a date with him, we were "done" (jokingly). Of course, I agreed and to this day, Dan will not let this story go. On October 15, 2019, Dan and I went on our first date. Dan had the most perfect date planned. I still remember this day so vividly because not only did I give Dan the wrong address once, but twice (not intentionally). Not realizing that I gave him the wrong address, the whole time that he was trying to find my apartment, I thought I had been stood up! When Dan finally arrived, he knocked on my door and greeted me with the most beautiful flowers. Our first date was at Top Golf with some delicious nachos (Dan’s favorite) and a fun night of golf. After Top Golf, Dan ordered us milkshakes from Whataburger, and we enjoyed them on our drive to El Paso’s overlook. We sipped on our milkshakes, talked, and played the 50 States game. If anyone wants to know what the 50 States game is, it’s when you each get a sheet of paper and try to write down as many states as you can within a certain amount of time. To this day, Dan keeps our sheets of paper with our answers in his wallet. If anyone must know, I won! The rest is history.
