Airports in Paris

The two primary airports in Paris are Charles de Gaulle Airport and Paris Orly Airport. Both are approximately 1 hour and 50 minutes (without traffic) to the area of Normandy where the wedding will be. If you are traveling from North America, Charles de Gaulle is most likely your best bet. There are direct flights to Charles de Gaulle from all major cities in the United States and Canada. Paris Orly Airport is smaller than Charles de Gaulle. There are flights to Orly from most major cities in Europe. There are also direct flights to Paris Orly Airport from New York City-area airports. There are direct flights to Orly from both Newark International Airport and John F. Kennedy International Airport.

Where to stay

The ceremony, reception, and other events will be held at the Château de Carsix, in Carsix, Normandy. Carsix is a small village, but there are a number of accomodation options in the area. Below, you can find some recommendations for area-hotels. Brionne, Normandy, is the closest major town—approximately twenty minutes driving time. If you prefer to stay in a bigger city, Deauville (located on the Normandy coast) is approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour driving time from Carsix. Alternatively, Paris is approximately 1 hour 50 minutes driving time from the venue.

How to get around

If you are planning on staying in the area for several days, we recommend you rent a car with a GPS. This will give you the maximum amount of freedom to explore the Normandy region. For guests without cars or for those who would prefer not to drive, we will provide information on transportation to the wedding (taxi/car services, shuttles) ahead of time.
