Nigerian Weddings is where it's at! We're glad to be your first and hopefully not your last. On Friday (if you choose to RSVP), we have what we call our Traditional & Engagement Ceremony. This is where we get married in our own traditional cultural way. Daniel is from Delta state and Idowu is part Edo and Yoruba so expect to see all aspects of our culture displayed in our attires and language spoken throughout the night. Don't worry, it'll be lots of fun! On Saturday (if you choose to RSVP), we will have the church ceremony, cocktail hour and reception right after. This is your typical Westernized wedding but Nigerian style.
We encourage you to come as you are! You can definitely look up Nigerian style outfits for weddings on Etsy to get an idea. One thing about Nigerians, we love to look good! SO put on your best fits! You can wear anything from Ankara to a nice suit and tie! It's all up to you! We encourage you to please visit our registry instead of bringing in physical gifts. However, "Money spraying" is a huge part of our culture and tradition, so we encourage you to carry some dollar bills to spray the couple or your friends as they dance away. You might get sprayed too!
While we do love kids, this will be an ADULTS ONLY event. There won't be any child care provided. If you do decide to bring your children, please know that you will be responsible for taking care of them throughout the duration of the event.
