Alex and I met our sophomore year at Iowa State. We were at a party during the very last night of VEISHEA, an annual celebration of school spirit. It may have been a historic finale to a 92 year long tradition, but it was the beginning of an exciting relationship for us!

I'm biased, but Alex planned the best proposal ever. He tricked me into thinking we were having a regular date night at our favorite spot in town, but he needed to make a quick pit stop on our way. We ended up on the patio of the Westin hotel overlooking downtown Kansas City at sunset when I turned around to Alex on one knee. I was so surprised, but that wasn't even the best part!! In lieu of dinner, he planned an engagement party with some of our closest family and friends. It was so special to share saying "yes!" with some important people in our lives and we so look forward to having you there as we say "I do". See you soon!
