Dani and Kyle first met at work in February 2015. Dani had just moved back from New York City and Kyle had just started a new job at OMD. When the perfect opportunity opened up in LA at just the right time, Dani knew the move home was meant to be--and lo and behold, she ended up at a desk right next to Kyle. Over the next three years, Kyle and Dani built their friendship, bonding over great meals and outings. They discovered their mutual love for movies & TV, trying new restaurants, and laughing over office shenanigans--impromptu concerts, party planning, Nerf gun & drone battles, Monday Game of Throne roundtables, and Friday afternoon Jenga. Kyle diligently tended to Dani’s bonsai tree, coming over to her desk to water it every morning, knowing full well it didn’t stand a chance for survival without his help. Dani developed a crush.

After three years of friendship, Kyle got up the courage to ask Dani on a date. Kyle planned the perfect evening--a drive-in movie (Pulp Fiction) and picnic, which combined both of their favorite activities (watching movies and eating). From there, Kyle and Dani set out on a whirlwind of adventures, from trips along the California coast to Japan. Dani and Kyle moved in together in May 2019, and two months later, welcomed Summer the Toy Goldendoodle (aka the Fluffosaurus, aka the Demogorgon) into their home.

Kyle planned a romantic weekend at one of Dani’s favorite places in Santa Barbara. During a scenic stroll along the bluffs, Kyle dropped to one knee and popped the question. Although Dani had her suspicions leading up to the big moment, the rest of the weekend was full of surprises--a room decked out in roses overlooking the ocean, a surprise celebratory dinner with their parents, and a constant stream of champagne toasts.
