The question that started it all... It was Wednesday, July 7, 2021 and Dani made her way to a favorite watering hole with a good friend after work. As they sipped on some cocktails and sulked over the poor dating pool in San Diego, Connor had the bright idea to make Dani her first ever dating profile on Hinge. After many pleads to not pursue and the liquid courage set in, Dani agreed. As they went through the daunting process of selecting photos and conversation prompts and providing witty profile content to best showcase Dani, her profile was made and open to the public eye. Brian had been on a handful of dates throughout the past year and was disappointed to find that he wasn't meeting anyone impactful. On the evening of July 7, 2021, Brian had just wrapped up his daily work out, made a protein packed dinner, and sat down to turn on a tv show to relax for the rest of the evening. He was ready to give up on dating and dating apps in general, but decided to open Hinge one last time. He began scrolling and after a few short minutes, he came across a response to a question that caught his attention. "Walking over a grate on the sidewalk and plunging to my death." Brian was immediately intrigued and so he looked further into her profile. He wasn't disappointed to find a doting dog mom, tattoos, and from the look of it, someone normal. So Brian liked her picture and waited. Dani's phone lit up as she signed her check before departing from the bar. She peeked down to see she had a notification from Hinge. It was Tuesday, July 13, 2021, and Dani had a tough day at work. She was tired of waiting for Brian to ask her out, so she messaged him inviting him to get an adult beverage with her. He responded with, "What are you thinking, Kool-Aid?" When Dani read this, she knew this was going to be different. They met in Coronado at a local brewery and enjoyed a beer together. They talked about their dogs, where they have lived and traveled, their careers, and their friends and families. After finishing their beers, they weren't ready to say good-bye just yet. The night continued and they ended their first date 6 hours later with burritos by the beach. Fast forward three years, two moves later and many trips, concerts, laughs, and tears, Dani and Brian are ready to share a last name!
