The tulips on Michigan Avenue were in full bloom and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to go shopping. With a different plan in mind, Dan surprisingly obliged. We went to lunch and spent the afternoon bouncing from shop to shop. When we were about spent, Dan suggested we walk back home along the lake front. Although my feet were pounding and I REALLY didn't want to walk a mile and a half home, for some reason, it seemed important to him. As we were walking along the lake, Dan stopped, pulled a ring out of his pocket, got down on one knee and proposed! Of course, I said, "Yes!".
