We met playing slow-pitch softball. Our friends urged us get to know each other early-on but it wasn't until Joseph spent an extra hour at the field watching my game (in 40 degree weather) that it finally sunk-in. When I went over to ask him what in the world he was still doing at the field... he smiled at me and said "I just want to spend some time with you."
Joseph planned a perfect proposal right on the beach of Anna Maria Island, Florida. Sunday evening we had beach-side dinner reservations with my parents and grandparents. Upon arrival, there was a short wait which was just enough time to take a walk along the water before being seated. We made our way to the sand and I just happened to look back at the restaurant deck where I caught a glimpse of a familiar face - Joseph's dad, Harold. The gig was up, and the Fuller family emerged from their hiding spots for hugs and introductions. "I think it's time to put your purse down..." Joseph said to me quietly. He led me toward the water, got on one knee and asked me to be his wife. Through happy tears, I managed a "YES!" We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Greenville!
