It was the winter of 2017. After 10 weeks recovering from a broken leg and dependent on crutches, Dana was finally allowed to walk on her own two feet as of Valentine's Day 2017. The doctor recommended she still use the crutches to hobble around until her leg got stronger, but being the headstrong (aka terrible) patient that nurses are, two days later she said to hell with that and went for her first outing in months without her crutches. The outing was in fact a date with a super cute (check), super tall (check) chef (checkcheckcheck!) named Trevor that she met on Bumble. It was beer week in SF so they found a special event at Resolute wine bar featuring about 20 different 4oz pours (yes they each had one of each). When Dana first walked in, Trevor was already sitting down in his infamous vest, and sparks flew! They enjoyed every ounce of beer but weren't ready to say goodbye. So they headed to one more bar, and the most underdog candidate in SF history started campaigning to the two of them for their vote in the next mayoral election. Needless to say, he didn't get their vote but they sure had each other's. After a night of merriment, the two lovebirds started dating and, in time, fell in love...
On their annual winter trip, this time to Park City, Utah, the couple arrived a night early before their friends. Thus began a classic night of Dana and Trevor, perusing the town, making friends, playing cribbage, and eating. Trevor had made a practice of always keeping the ring in his pocket for the right moment, but alas, in his excitement, he forgot the ring in the hotel room. So after a night of fun, when they got back to the hotel room, he just couldn't contain himself anymore. And here we are!
