New York's horse racing capital, Saratoga Springs has been a destination location going on two hundred years. While racing season runs only from July to Labor Day, there are still plenty of wonderful things to see and do during a short visit here. Take a stroll and wander in the shops along Broadway or take in the Victorian era mansions throughout town. Some of our other favorite things to see and do are below.
Update: the New York State Military Museum in downtown Saratoga (61 Lake Ave.) will be featuring a display with Patrick's grandfather's Korean War insignia and resume of his 34-year military career. Open 10-4pm on Friday and Saturday, admission is free.
