Welcome to our wedding!

Her version: My best friend from PT school had asked me if I wanted to watch the Packers-Buccaneers game on January 24th, 2021 with her and her friends. Little did I know, I would be meeting the love of my life that day. I was introduced to her friend Dallas and his roommates, AJ and Natalie. I had heard Dallas's name pop up in conversation throughout PT school, when Kelsey would tell me about her friends going to Cambodia for a wedding, and trips to Indian Wells. She had shown me pictures of Dallas in the past as well - I thought he was cute, but never thought I would meet him. We hit it off instantly - we were giggling about Key and Peele skits and talking sports was fun. After leaving that day, I couldn't help but think how awesome of a person Dallas seemed, and AJ and Natalie were so kind! Being that they are all friends of Kelsey, I couldn't be surprised. I think it was also easy to say I found Dallas even cuter in person :) February 4th, I received a message from Dallas online. After talking for a bit, and unfortunately not being able to make it to his birthday party, he asked me over to cook dinner with him. I was apparently oblivious to this being our first date, but it was the best first date! After a couple of weeks of dating, I asked him if we should tell our friend, Kelsey, as we were hiking in Sedona. Dallas broke the news to tell me she already knew, as she set us up! Dallas, Kelsey, AJ, and Natalie had all known this was a set up! I will forever be grateful for all of them, and am so happy they could all be there for the beginning of our forever <3 His version: Back in January of 2021 I had been single for a while and Kelsey, who I've known since Kindergarten, said I should meet one of her friends Alix from PT school. My first response was "YOU HAVE A SINGLE FRIEND I HAVEN'T MET?", so we set up a get together at my apartment to watch some playoff football and grill. Alix walked in with a Jared Allen jersey (of course the Vikings weren't in the playoffs), and a couple containers of cookies (what a surprise huh). After my first bite of her chocolate chip cookies I knew she was the one - just kidding. I learned she hated working soccer tournaments, watched Key and Peele, LOVES the Utah Jazz - I still can't figure out this Vikings/Jazz/semi-Dodgers fandom - and also hadn't seen Game of Thrones, but had seen Game of Zones. After first meeting Alix, I ended up messaging her and after only a few days of talking I was telling anyone who would listen to me about her at my birthday party. We had our first date on 2/19/2021 when Alix came over for dinner. She still claims she didn't know it was a date, but I made bacon-wrapped dates in the air-fryer and when AJ left our apartment saying "enjoy the dates" I think that probably clued her in. Since that February 19th weekend and our hike in Sedona the very next weekend, I was confident we'd be planning this wedding.
