We met through his roommate, a mutual friend, and hung out countless times; I was in a relationship, and I was always encouraging him to pick up girls. A year later, both of our lives were flipped upside down and we confided in each other - my boyfriend and I had broken up and he remained single (yet still very popular with the ladies). We got close, helped each other out, and soon developed feelings for each other although neither of us said anything about that. The day before thanksgiving, after a weekend of pretty obvious flirting, I made him go on a walk with me and then forced him to tell me how he felt about me and the rest is history ;)

When Dallas first asked my dad to marry me, my dad said not yet much to both of our surprise. We were bummed because Dallas had a big proposal plan put together for our Mexico trip that we had planned later on, but we understood my Dad's reasoning and agreed. We continued on with our lives, and on with the trip to Mexico. We swam, we tanned, we ate, we slept - a proposal was the furthest thing from my mind. One night, Dallas' dad told us to all wear white because we were going to a steakhouse for dinner. I put on a white dress and Dallas wore a white button up, and he suggested we go see the sunset before we met everyone for dinner. After I agreed, we made it down to the beach and began walking and talking about who knows what; all I remember is Dallas telling me to "look at the really fat guy". I turned and couldn't find him, and when I turned back to face him, he was on one knee. He didn't even get the question out before I was on the ground with him hugging him - I said yes, then asked why he didn't listen to my dad. He told me that my dad had said yes, but wanted to keep it a surprise from me. We ended the night with chocolate cake and dancing, which made a perfect proposal in my opinion :)
