Chris and Kate found each other online, both being optimistic of each other's profiles, each portraying a genuine, positive and family oriented person. Chris asked Kate to go on a date to Prohibition in downtown Charleston. Both had a great time on the date and looked forward to seeing each other again! Chris asked Kate out on a second date at the end of dinner! The next few dates were just as wonderful as the first! On their date to Isle of Palms they took their first photo together!

Earlier that day they attended a wedding together. Afterwards they went to Kate's condo to have a relaxing evening. Kate hugged Chris and told him she loves him, and Chris said he loves her too!

Kate got to meet Chris' parents, whom she knew she would love! The four of them had a lovely meal at Poogan's Porch. Rosemary and Roger were so kind! Rosemary gave Kate a couple of her beautiful prints - one is hanging in Kate and Chris' home today!

Chris meets the Dahl family! They loved him! They all enjoyed eating at the B'ville Diner, walking in Radisson and visiting Last Shot Distillery. They had a wonderful Christmas morning together! Chris also loved the dogs almost as much as they loved him!

Kate meets Ainsley! Chris and Ainsley sat outside of Target to meet Kate. Chris read Kate a list of Ainsley's favorite things, and they went to Target to pick out a fun toy! After that, they went to a park and Ainsley rode her scooter. Ainsley invited Kate to their apartment for dinner. Kate and Ainsley played "Princess and the Darkness" with Ainsley's new Barbie. Kate was ecstatic that it was going so well!

Meet the Geels! Kate finally got to meet the whole Geel family! They spent a fabulous 4th of July together and had a wonderful time getting to know each other!

Kate and Chris' relationship continued to flourish. They enjoyed running in 5K’s, watching live music, spend time with friends, having "book club", and going all out with a themed event! In the summer, they moved in together in a charming, and slightly crooked, apartment in downtown Charleston. Ainsley met her soon-to-be aunts, uncle, and cousins for Thanksgiving. Ainsley was especially excited to finally meet Mila after having FaceTime calls and sharing jokes!

They're engaged!! After a lovely NYE dinner at Kultlura, Chris brought Kate to Colonial Lake. They were walking around the lake when Chris stopped - he told Kate how much he loves her, and he got down on one knee and proposed! A teary-eyed Kate said YES!

Kate, Chris, and Ainsley have had a blast together! They enjoy beach days, reading Harry Potter together, golf cart rides, and onesie movie nights! They all moved to an apartment across the street, where they spend evenings projecting movies on the house next door. Kate, Chris, and Ainsley are loving being a little family, and can't wait to make it official in April!
