October 14th, 2016. Our first date. We had just matched on a dating app about one week prior. Easy conversation paired with countless similarities in backgrounds, values, and interests led to us deciding to take a leap of faith and meet in real life. Lucky for us that we did, because that was the best decision we ever could have made. We spent the whole night laughing and talking - it was an instant connection, almost as if we had known each other for years. This was the start of many such dates, and it wasn't long before we were inseparable. Fast forward ~2 years later. November 29th, 2018. He proposed. Amidst the breathtaking rooftop views of the Brooklyn Bridge, on the night of my 27th birthday, Akshay asked me to marry him. Of course, I said YES! Sometimes love finds us. And sometimes we find love. But there is no better blessing than finding a heart that matches the beat of your own. December 1st, 2019. Our wedding date.
